Notes
Completed in 15 weeks from kick off date of injection moulded plastic parts.

When this project was first presented to us, it was still very much in its development stages. The initial proposal was for manufacture of injection moulded plastic components and electronic components only however as the project progressed we found ourselves in a race against the clock to produce a fully assembled, end-product, packaged and shipped to meet a release date which we would have previously advised too ambitious.

Since the project began a number of elements previously unknown to us were introduced. These include an EVA case with vac formed tray, branded cables with injection moulded logos, an aluminium display stand, spring and foil for touch sensor, copper electrode discs, foam pads, sponges, compression moulded rubber components for stand, a saline solution bottle with printed logo, security stickers, custom made outer packaging including white cardboard box with blue foil printed logo, fabric bag with stitched logo, the sourcing of over 50 electrical components from 3 different continents, shipping and finally assembling everything onto a printed circuit board using surface mount technology. An assembly team then pieced together the product itself and a separate team packed all the parts together before we shipped to a designated warehouse ready to be distributed to customers.

Due to the fact many elements of this project were in early development stages, modifications were made a number of times, elements were scrapped and new requirements were introduced throughout the life of this project. This made it crucial that everything was dealt with efficiently and that approved parts were each signed off within 24 hours of receipt.
